Tutu X to Apple TV Converter is a multi-format video converter. It was designed for conversion of video files for playback on the Apple TV. Thus, it can convert files into MPEG-4 and H.264 for video, which are natively supported by the device. There are only three conversion profiles. There is one for 240p, one for 480p and one for 720p. You can go in the settings and change the video and audio codecs used, the video bit rate, and the screen crop settings. Some audio settings can also be changed. There are some settings like resolution and video frame rate that can't be customized.
Tutu X to Apple TV Converter supports most input formats. I take it that is what the X in its name is meant to refer to. In my testing, I used an MKV file that always use for testing converters, so I know it works. The app converted it fine, but when I went to play it in VLC, the video was a bit slow and there were sound problems. A conversion from an XviD file didn't show these problems.
All in all, this is a commercial converter that only comes with 3 conversion profiles that you can slightly customize. For the same price, you can find other converters and even ripper/converter bundles that have more settings and better format support.
